1. Privacy notice

Who we are. Veranda Films, Jl. Raya Kerobokan No. 98, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia · hello@verandafilms.com. We are responsible for the personal data described below.

This website. We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; like every web server, GitHub records technical access data such as IP addresses for security (see GitHub’s privacy statement). Your browser’s session storage remembers only whether you have already seen the intro animation, and it never leaves your device. The contact form opens your own email program; nothing is sent to or stored on this website. Links to Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp take you to those services, whose own privacy policies apply.

2. Business emails we send

We write short, individual emails to businesses in the holiday-rental and hospitality sector (rental managers, villas, guesthouses, B&Bs) to offer our film service. For this we use:

• the business name, the business email address and the website, as published by the business itself on its website or in public business directories (for example tourism-board listings or OpenStreetMap);
• the town or region and, for rental managers, the publicly listed number of properties.

We do not buy email lists. Before sending, we check that an address can receive mail. We contact addresses published for business purposes about a service that relates to that business. Where data protection law applies (for example the UK GDPR), our legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering a relevant business service.

To stop our emails, reply “no” or “unsubscribe”, use the unsubscribe link, or write to hello@verandafilms.com. We stop straight away and in any case within five business days. We then keep only your email address on a suppression list, so that you are not contacted again.

We keep outreach data only as long as it is needed for this purpose and review it at least once a year.

3. Client orders and photos

When you order a film, we use your contact details to deliver, invoice and support the order. The photos you send are used only to make your film. They are processed with third-party AI image-to-video services for that single purpose. We keep project files for twelve months after delivery so that we can handle change requests, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. We may show finished films as references only as agreed in the client terms, and you can opt out at any time.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the studio: Google Workspace (email), Smartlead (sending and managing business emails), MillionVerifier (checking that an address can receive mail), Anthropic (AI help in drafting replies, which a person reviews), Notion (customer records), Telegram (internal notifications), WhatsApp (if you message us), GitHub (website hosting) and AI video services (client films). Some of them process data outside your country, for example in the United States.

4. Your rights

You can ask us at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. An objection to marketing is always respected, without giving a reason. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the United Kingdom (ico.org.uk), the OAIC in Australia (oaic.gov.au) or the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz).

5. Terms of use

Information only. This website describes our services in general terms. Prices shown as “from” are starting prices; what applies to an order is what is stated on the written order or invoice, together with our client terms, which we send with every order.

How the films are made. Our films are made remotely with AI-generated camera movement from still images. Reference films are produced from existing listing photos, or from renderings for a project in planning, which is marked as such. Nothing on this site is presented as drone or on-site footage.

Names and links. Platform and brand names mentioned on this site belong to their owners; we are not affiliated with them. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.

Rights. Texts, design and films on this site are protected. Films of client properties are shown with the owner’s permission. Please do not copy them without asking.

Liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website, and our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes. We may update this page. The date at the top shows the current version.
